Sling Aircraft now at Hangaar 22 on Texel

Aircraft Builders Europe, the European distributor of Sling Aircraft, has recently opened a base at Texel International Airport. In addition to the Builder Assist Center in Oudkarspel, the final assembly and test flying can now also take place at a home base. With this, the circle is complete, and Aircraft Builders Europe offers the full package. They work closely with Rednose Aviation, the aviation maintenance company of Ruud Heinen.

Ruud Heinen’s knowledge and expertise as an SFI/SFE AW139 helps Sling builders get their aircraft safely into the air and keep it there. Aircraft Builders Europe offers the Sling 2, Sling TSi, and Sling High Wing in their program. All aircrafts are supplied as kit builds (experimental). Through the Builder Assist program, Aircraft Builders Europe provides builders with guidance and support during construction. In addition to the Sling aircrafts, Aircraft Builders Europe also supplies Garmin avionics, the (custom-made) upholstery and propulsion systems. For painting or wrapping the Slings in color, Aircraft Builders Europe has an alliance with a HQ paintshop.

The beautiful, brand-new and heated Hangaar 22 is shared between Rednose Aviation and Aircraft Builders Europe. A section of the hangar is reserved for storing third-party aircrafts.

Texel Airport has two excellently drained runways that are open almost all year round, with exceptionally friendly tower staff. Bicycle and car rentals make exploring the island from Texel Airport a joy!
